INTI RAYMI 2010 TOUR
FIXED DEPARTURE DATES : June 22, 2010
NOTE: the tour begins in Cusco Peru on June 22, 2010 domestic airfares are not
included in the package price, nevertheless we can easily arrange them upon
request, as well as Lima overnight and Lima airport transportation

DAY 1: JUNE/22 CUSCO
Reception at the Cusco airport ; you will be taken to your hotel.
In the afternoon: Cusco City Tour From 1:15 p.m. Aprox
This tour includes the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the Cathedral and
some other famous places like the famous fortress of Sacsayhuaman, then to
Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
You will also receive a tourist ticket valid to many other sites you can
visit on your free time.
Overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 2: JUNE/ 23 PISAC & OLLANTAYTAMBO (PRIVATE SERVICE)
At 8:15 a.m. we will depart for the Sacred Valley tour, that includes: Bus
service to the market of Pisaq, visits the ruins of Ollantaytambo, and the
market at Chinchero.
There is an English speaking guide, and lunch in a typical restaurant in
Urubamba.
Of course, throughout this trip you will have magnificent views of the high
Peruvian Andes.
At the end you will go back at the Hotel. ( B,L )
DAY 3: JUNE/24 INTI RAYMI
Cusco celebrates the Inti Raymi with occasion of the winter solstice -the
solar new year - for a town which main cult object was the god Inti (the sun).
In time
of the Incas was a religious ceremony, now it is a theater representation.
However this expression generates a feeling of identity in the town that
evokes values
and memories that are still excellent in our days, it also brings to the
memory a time that lives in the heart of the town of Cusco (Qosqo). The
version is expressed in
the original, Quechua language. The celebration starts on the Temple of the
Sun (Koricancha) then continues to the Sacsayhuaman, we will provide you the
transportation and entrance. Afternoon transfer to the Hotel and overnight.

DAY 4: JUN/25 MACHU PICCHU TOUR
At 5:30a.m. you will be picked up from the hotel to the Poroy train station
which leaves at 06:53a.m.
Travel will be in a "Vistadome" Class (formerly "Autowagon").
You will arrive to the Aguas Calientes Station, from where you will take a
25 minutes bus ride to the ruins of Machu Picchu.
Once there, you will take a guided tour, with an English speaking guide.
Lunch at Sanctuary Lodge hotel included.
Overnight at the Hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu). (B, Lunch)
DAY 5: JUN/26 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Morning at leisure in Aguas Calientes to continue visiting the area and
Machu Picchu (bus ticket and entrance fees not included).
In the afternoon at 15:20 pm we will take the Vistadome train back to Poroy
station.
Upon arrival , tramsfer to your hotel in Cusco. (B)
DAY 6 JUN/27 TRANSFER OUT
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport to take flight back in
Lima (airfare not included) |
