ITINERARY:
Briefing the night before the departure
DAY 1: CUSCO-HUAYLLABAMBA
Early in the morning, we will meet to start our journey to Chilca
(Km 82 in the Sacred Valley), the start of the Inca Trail. Here we meet
with the porters and cooks who will accompany us on our journey. We trek
until Huayllabamba, campsite, where we will enjoy a hot meal and then
rest. (L, D)

DAY 2 HUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYU
Breakfast, and then we start hiking. We will ascend to the highest
point on the trail at over (4,200 masl;13,860 ft.) the Dead Woman’s Pass
(Warmi Wañusca), where we will get the most amazing views ever! After
lunch we will start to descend to Pacaymayu where we will camp
overnight. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 PACAYMAYU – WIÑAYWAYNA
After breakfast we will head off
towards Runku Rakay to cross the 2dn pass (3,800masl;12,540 ft.) and
later we descend to Sayacmarca, an important archeological site where we
will enjoy lunch. Later we continue until Wiñayhuayna where we spend our
third and final night on the trail. (B, L, D)

DAY 4 WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU
CUSCO
Breakfast, and then into the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), the entrance to
the ancient city of Machupicchu from here we will be able to see the
ruins in all their glory. Later when we arrive to the city ruins we will
have a complete guided tour of the site, before heading down into the
town of Aguas Calientes by bus for our return train journey to Cusco.
